Safeguarding Statement

Our commitments to children’s safety, and what to do if you are worried about a child.

If you are worried about a child

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services straight away. In Pakistan, you can call the police on 15.

If you have a concern that is not an emergency, contact the relevant child-protection authority in your area, or speak to the designated safeguarding lead at the child’s school or organisation.

Please do not use this website or our contact form to report concerns about a specific child. It is not monitored for emergencies.

Our role

SSGTGLOBAL develops educational and preventive approaches to child safety. We do not replace statutory child-protection authorities, emergency services, qualified professionals or established safeguarding processes. We do not provide investigation, counselling, therapeutic or case-management services.

Our commitments

  • Children’s safety and wellbeing take priority over every other consideration in our work.
  • Learning materials are age-appropriate, calm and empowering, and never require children to disclose personal experiences.
  • Every tool is designed so that a child’s discomfort, concern or disclosure is always taken seriously by an adult.
  • We apply privacy-by-design and avoid collecting identifiable information about children.
  • We expect partners to maintain their own safeguarding policies and to follow agreed protocols.
  • We describe our tools honestly and do not present educational tools as assessment or protection services.
  • We publish information about support services only after it has been verified.

People who work with us

Anyone delivering SSGT activities with children is expected to be suitably prepared and supervised and to follow the safeguarding procedures of the setting in which they work, together with any protocols agreed with SSGTGLOBAL.

Raising a concern about our work

If you have a concern about the conduct of anyone connected with SSGTGLOBAL or about any of our materials, please tell us through our contact form without including identifying details of any child. Where a child may be at risk, please also report your concern to the relevant authorities.
